LOCATION:

THE ROLE:
This position is responsible for driving sales growth for our client across WA, SA and NT, acting as the lead business development and territory sales professional for the region. You will develop and execute a territory sales strategy, build strong relationships with distributors, end-users, OEMs and contractors, and secure new business across key sectors including mining, civil construction, oil & gas, agriculture and general industry. The role involves managing and expanding existing accounts, presenting technical solutions, conducting on-site visits and product demonstrations, and preparing quotes, proposals and tenders in collaboration with internal product, engineering and service teams. You will monitor market trends and competitor activity, maintain accurate CRM records and forecasts, and report regularly on pipeline health and sales performance. Success in this role will be measured by revenue growth, new account acquisition, customer retention, market share expansion and the accuracy of forecasting and territory planning, with regular travel required throughout the region to support customers and deliver an exceptional level of service.

YOUR PROFILE:
You are an experienced B2B sales professional with a proven track record in hydraulics, fluid power or industrial technical sales, ideally across sectors such as mining, oil & gas, agriculture, civil or OEM environments. You excel in business development, combining strong “hunting” capability with the ability to build and maintain long-term customer relationships. Technically confident, you can understand hydraulic systems, applications and componentry and translate this knowledge into compelling commercial solutions. Known for your communication, presentation and negotiation skills, you operate independently across large and remote territories and are comfortable travelling frequently to support customers. You bring strong planning, organisation and CRM proficiency, along with solid Microsoft Office skills and a full driver’s licence. A tertiary qualification in engineering, hydraulics, business or a related field is preferred, though not essential for candidates with a strong sales record. Commercially minded and customer-centric, you are strategic, resilient, adaptable and collaborative, able to turn market insights into actionable territory plans while driving results autonomously.
