SALES ENGINEER

THE ROLE:
As a Sales Engineer, you will be responsible for achieving sales targets through a mix of direct engagement and distributor collaboration. You will apply value-added, consultative selling techniques to grow market share, drive profitability, and manage strategic customer relationships across a defined territory. Providing technical support and tailored solutions, you will take ownership of key accounts and work closely with internal teams to ensure seamless sales execution.
The role involves accurate sales forecasting, identifying new business opportunities, and delivering market insights to influence product and commercial strategies. You will also contribute to product launches, lead technical demonstrations, and support internal training. Operating within a matrixed environment, you will champion professional standards, innovation, and collaborative working while supporting the inclusion of company products in project specifications and vendor approvals.

YOUR PROFILE:
You are a commercially driven and technically proficient sales professional with a degree or recognised qualification in Engineering. With 3 to 5 years of successful sales experience in a manufacturing or industrial engineering environment, you bring a proven track record in applying effective sales techniques and delivering strong results. Your entrepreneurial mindset, combined with excellent communication skills and business acumen, allows you to influence and collaborate effectively across diverse teams and cultures.
With strong communication skills, you are confident engaging with stakeholders at all levels and comfortable operating within a complex, matrixed organisation. You demonstrate integrity, adaptability, and resilience, and are motivated by business growth and continuous improvement. Willing to travel nationally and internationally, you thrive in dynamic environments, challenge siloed thinking, and build strong, long-lasting customer relationships.
